ABOUT GCTA

 The Gulf Coast Tennis Association (GCTA) is a non-profit 501c3 Community Tennis Association affiliated with USTA Texas promoting tennis in Brazoria County, Matagorda County, and other areas along the Texas Gulf Coast south of Houston.  GCTA originated back in March of 2016 by co-founder Don Cudd &  Joan Houken.

Over the last 8 years, GCTA has worked to bring to our communities programs and events like our "Ace It" summer camp for kids , free tennis lessons at Jasmine Park, team tennis and doubles leagues, summer open courts, and numerous tournaments (City Cup, Servivors, Scholarship, JH Invitational, & Jasmine Skills). Plus, back in 2022 we gave our first ever GCTA Tennis Scholarship and started our Tennis for All camp for specials needs; which has evolved into this past year 2024 taking our first ever Special Olympics team to State.  

Most of all, GCTA is made up strictly of volunteers, who love the game of tennis and want to grow the game in our communities.  To thank our volunteers for the countless hours they give we celebrate and honor them at our annual volunteer appreciation banquet each August.
